 Pawan Kalyan aka Power Star is a popular face of Telugu cinema.Off-Screen Pawan Kalyan was born as Konidela Kalyan in Mogalthur, Andhra Pradesh on 2nd September 1971. His parents are Venkat Rao and Anjana Devi. He is Telugu star Chiranjeevi and actor-producer Nagendra Babu’s younger brother. He divorced his first wife Nandini and started living with his Badri co-star Renu Desai. He’s a big fan of director Akira Kurosawa and named his son Akira Nandan. On-Screen 1996 to 2000 Akkada Abbayi Ikkada Ammayi (1996) was Pawan Kalyan’s debut movie in which he showed off his skills in martial arts. He had two releases in 1997 with Gokulamlo Seetha and Suswagatham that did well. Tholi Prema in 1998 and his role as Balu was well received. Thammadu in 1999 also enjoyed a successful run as did Badri in 2000. 2001 to 2009 Kushi (2001) with Bhoomika Chawla was a hit. His fans saw him again in the 2003 movie Johnny with wife Renu Desai but that failed at the box office. He acted in movies like Gudumba Shankar (2004), Balu (2005), Bangaram (2006) and Annavaram (2007). Jalsa (2008) was considered as one of his best movies. Puli and two other yet to be named movies are expected to be released in 2009. |
