Kalyan Ram is a brother of Jr. NTR and the grandson of the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao.He studied in St. Pauls, Hyderabad till 7th class. He did his 8th, 9th and 10th class in KCP Siddardha Adarsh Residential School, Kanur (Vijayawada). He completed intermediate in Vikas. He did his engineering in Coimbatore. He went abroad to completed my masters in Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. After completion of masters He returned to Hyderabad to join films. His career started with 2 flops, Abhimanyu and Toli Choopuloni. However, his third film Athanokkade became a runaway hit at box office. His fourth film Asadhyudu disappointed. His next film is Lakshmi Kalyanam.
